    Senior Software Developer / Head Of Operations / Head Of Technology - LogicBarn / Gold Crest Chartered Surveyors

    Derby | January 2022 - October 2022

    • Started as a Senior Software Developer, working on a bespoke in house CRM and Surveying system rebuild from Legacy systems in Laravel.

    • Moved from a team of 2 Developers to managing a team of 13 staff across Development, Testing, IT, SEO, PPC, Web Design and Sales.

    • Implemented processes to ensure efficiency including bug tracking, time management, project management and ticketing systems, ensuring the development team had clear objectives and targets to reach.

    • Managed a development team of 8 developers working in the TALL stack, Android and iOS.

    • Rebuilt the Legacy systems into one combined system from 6 different systems, allowing for huge increases in efficiency due to data transfer being made easier and reducing the need for manual interface work, this included development of an inhouse iOS and Android Application for the company and a review of the systems with the people doing the day to day work to ensure efficiency in operations.

    • Managed the marketing team consisting of SEO, PPC and Web Design staff, which when combined with a rebrand of the current branding for Gold Crest Chartered Surveyors resulted in a 300% increase in sales and enquiries to the business.

    • Managed the IT team consisting of Software Developers, Cyber Security Specialists and IT Support professionals.

    • Increased IT efficiency in the business by implementing automatic updates of the devices inside the business, reducing IT support enquiries from approx 300 a month to around 10 per month.

    • Implemented processes to make the hiring of new staff members more efficient allowing the company to grow from 20 surveyors to over 50 in just over a year.

    • Rolled out Azure Active Directory across the business to over 80 members of staff, including a full upgrade of all equipment during the process.
